About The Camp

The SaMarc Dream & Achieve Basketball Camp is held annually at the end of July. Established in 2004, the camp now hosts 200 girls and boys from various schools and recreation centers in Columbus.
The camp is free to all participants, thanks to the generous support of Sam Mitchell, Marc Upshaw and the Sponsors.

Head Coach, Sam Mitchell, is assisted by Marc Upshaw and basketball coaches from Columbus highschools and recreation centers.

In addition to lessons on the fundamentals of basketball, the children get to interact with successful professionals such as attorneys, physicians, investment advisors, business owners and athletes. These special guests share with the children their life stories in the hopes of inspiring the boys and girls to Dream and Achieve.
